Music library and repertoire

Discover the rich and diverse collection of scores played by Baildon Orchestra. Gathered over decades, our extensive library allows us to explore classical gems, romantic symphonies, and lighter orchestral works purely for the shared pleasure of music-making.

An extensive archive built since 1945

Since our founding in 1945, Baildon Orchestra has built a substantial and varied music library. From classical overtures, symphonies and baroque suites to romantic movements and lighter twentieth-century melodies, ballet suites, marches and waltzes, our archive provides endless opportunities to delve into timeless compositions. As we don't rehearse to perform, the music is different each rehearsal.

Repertoire across every section

Our curated programmes ensure every section has engaging parts to play. Whether you play strings, woodwind, brass, or percussion, you will encounter diverse parts that challenge and delight in equal measure. We select pieces that bring the entire ensemble together in vibrant harmony.

Playing for the joy of discovery

Unlike ensembles bound to strict concert programmes, our primary focus is the pure enjoyment of sight-reading and rehearsing great music together. Each session brings a fresh selection of scores to the stands. If you would like to experience this repertoire from the inside, visit our Join us page and come along for a free trial rehearsal.
